Betsy J Marcellus

Betsy J. Marcellus, 86, of Butler passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born January 12, 1931 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Bernice Ross Nicholas.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, she was a member of the Good Times Bowling League and the Cycles Bowling League and a Girl Scout Leader.

Surviving are her children: Nancy (David) Rice of FL., Sallie (Bruce) Miller of Butler and Brian (Karen) Marcellus of Renfrew.

4 grandchildren: Amber Jones of FL., Justin Rice of Fort Campbell, KY.; Shawn and Braden Marcellus, both of Renfrew.

2 great-grandchildren: Callie Rose and Wyatt.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Marcellus who passed away April 20, 2006. They were married January 10,1953. Two sons and a sister.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday. A Blessing Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday from the Funeral Home. Rev. Anthony Sciarappa of the Butler City Catholic Parishes to officiate. Interment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery in Butler.
