Doris M. Hrip

Doris M. Hrip, 87, of Lyndora passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 30, 1929 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Agnes Shaub Hrip.

She was a homemaker and was a member of St. John Byzantine Church in Lyndora.

She enjoyed taking bus trips to the Casinos as well as reading. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband, Peter Hrip, they were married September 18, 1943.

A daughter, Sharon (Gerald) Allen of Prospect.

8 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

A brother, Floyd (Lola) Kirk of Butler.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sons, Peter, Michael and Paul. A grandson, A sister and a brother.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunninham, Butler from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday. A Parastas service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am from the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Butler.

A Panachida service will be held at 7:00 pm Monday from the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Butler Public Libarary, 218 North McKean St. Butler, PA 16001.
