Elizabeth M. Sedoris

Elizabeth M. Sedoris, 94, of Zelienople, formerly of Butler, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at Passavant Retirement Community.

Born April 4, 1924 in Chicora, she was a daughter of the late Vincent P. and Sarah Viola Norris Ritzert.

She was a 1945 graduate of the Butler School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.

She was a private duty nurse in the Butler area as well as a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople and a former member of the Christian Mother's of St. Fidelis in Butler. She was also a member of the Butler School of Nursing Alumni.

She enjoyed reading, sewing and spending time with her family.

Surviving are 3 daughters: Mary Lou, Diane and Deborah; a son, Richard; a brother, Vincent T. Ritzert; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard I. Sedoris, who passed away July 03, 2005, they were married June 12,1945. Also preceding were 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10:00 am from St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 West Beaver St. Zelienople, PA. Rev. James Young, Pastor, to officiate. Entombment will follow at the Calvary Mausoleum in Butler. Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001.
