Florence I. Campbell, 93, of Butler, died Sunday afternoon, June 4, 2017, at the Sunnyview Nursing Home.
Born March 6, 1924 in Brockway, PA, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Eli McDowell and Hulda N. Jones.
Florence was a homemaker and previously worked at the B&O Railroad after World War II, The Y.W.C.A. in Butler, Dr. Walker in Butler and also Marian Heater Beauty Shop.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Butler and was a member and voluteer for the Mental Health Association, the W.C.T.U. in Butler and also the Child Evanigelism Program.
Surviving are her 3 daughters: Jamesene (Thomas) DeBord of Church Hill, TN; Jacqueline (Bob) Wells of Butler and Susan (Gary) Casper of West Sunbury.
1 son, Norman (Andrea) Campbell of Liederbach, Germany.
8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John B. “Bernie” Campbell, he died February 5, 2004.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Butler.
