Helen Lonchena

Our grandmother, Helen Lonchena, passed peacefully early Sunday morning, spending her last days
surrounded by her family. At the age of ninety-three, she lived through more than her share of trial and
tribulations. Despite all hardships, she lived a life filled with unwavering strength, faith for our Lord, and
love for her children, Paul and Debra.

Born July 23,1923, she was a devoted grandmother, filling our childhoods with swimming lessons, trips to
the library, and a never ending supply of homemade play-doh and pierogies.

She was a beloved aunt and sister, always expressing her gratitude and appreciation for the company of her
niece, Karen, her brother George and his wife Barbara.

Helen believed that "it will all work out in the end," and laid proof to that belief in passing quietly in the
night, surrounded by love that she brought into this world.

We will remember our grandmother for her inner strength and her commitment to her family. We are
blessed in being able to spend so much of our lifetimes with her.

She will always be loved.

She is survived by her children, Paul and Debra Lonchena.

Her grandchildren, Brandy Lonchena, Daniel Lonchena, and Tiffany Romantino.

Their spouses, Marsha Lonchena (Paul), Julie Lonchena (Daniel), and Eric Romantino (Tiffany).
Her great-grandchildren, Dean and Ivan Lonchena.

Her brother George and his wife Barbara.

Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lonchena who passed away May 23, 1989.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday from S.S. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox church, 21 Evergreen Rd. Lyndora, PA 16045. Rev. McGrath, Pastor to officiate. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Butler.

A Parastas Service will be held at 7:00 pm from the Funeral Home.
