Irene J. McLaughlin

Irene J. McLaughlin, 83, of Butler, died Friday, January 19, 2018, at the V.N.A. Inpatient Hospice.

Born June 11, 1934 in Nanty Glo, PA, she was a daughter of the late Stephen Popp and Anna Kertes Popp.

Irene had worked at Nationwide Insurance, was part owner of the Majestic Bar in Butler and lastly had worked at the Butler Farm Market. She enjoyed playing bingo, doll collecting and taking care of people.

She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Surviving is her daughter, Alice Ann (Larry) Boyle of Sarver.

1 grand daughter, Jamie Boyle of Sarver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. McLaughlin, he died October 30, 2012; also 3 brothers and 6 sisters.

Family and friends will gather at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Saturday. Services will then be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz, Pastor, will officiate.
