John A. Toomey

John A. Toomey, 74, of Butler passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born January 21, 1942 in Butler, he was a son of the late John L. and Sara J. Kron Toomey.

He worked in various departments at Armco Steel for 25 years. The latest being a steel inspector.

He was a member of the Ameican Legion post #778 in Lyndora and the Mosonic Lodge in Penn Hills. He enjoyed watching professional football and watching his grandson play football. He also enjoyed hunting.

Surviving are 2 sons, Dan (Becky) Toomey of Butler and John Toomey of Harrisville.

2 grandchildren, Daniel Z. and Shane Toomey.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cuuningham St. Butler, PA. 16001 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday. A Blessing Service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
