Mary Elizabeth Adams

Mary Elizabeth Adams, 38, of Butler passed away Friday, July 22, 2016. Born January 5, 1978 in Granger, Utah, she was the daughter of Laura Adams and the late James E. Adams.

Mary was previously employed as a caregiver at Concordia, where she was very fond of her residents.

Her daughters, Kayla and Isabelle, and her dog, Bruno, were the loves and light of her life. Mary could be playful with her girls, starting with giggles, often turning into snorting and belly laughs. Often the three of them could be found engrossed in a creative project. She loved music and poetry and often lost herself in the lyrics. Mary saw the best in everyone. She was selfless and genuine. She was drawn to people in need, saying that it filled her with a sense of purpose. She had made visits to the homeless with food and clothing. We’ll all remember the image of her with her huge cup of ice in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.

Missing her deeply are her daughters, Kayla Adams and Isabelle Rodriquez and her mother, Laura. She is survived by her brother Matthew, his wife and son; her stepsisters Laurie, Leigh and Valerie; two uncles, her grandmother, Kitty Webb. She has been reunited with her dad, who passed away in 2009.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Jim Adams, her maternal grandfather, Bill Webb; her paternal grandparents Helen & Aroldo Ansani.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm. Monday. Funeral Services will then follow at 1:00 p.m., at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Rob Gillgrist, will officiate. Internment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.

In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to a college fund that will be setup for her daughters Kayla and Isabelle. Information will be provivded for that at the Funeral Home during the visitation.
