Michael P. Goda, Jr.

Michael P. Goda, Jr., 89, of Butler, died Sunday morning, August 28, 2016, at the Sunnyview Home.

Born October 13, 1926 in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late Michael P. Goda and Helen (Chajka) Goda.

He had worked at the Armco Steel Plant in Butler, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, enjoyed hunting and fishing, also playing golf. For 25 years he and his son reblued guns.

A veteran of the World War II, he served in the United States Navy.

Surviving is his son, Greg Goda of Butler.

1 niece and 1 nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Louise (Henry) Goda, she died August 22, 2015.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean Street, Butler. Internment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler. Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, Butler.
