Nickles Spryn

Nickles Spryn, 92, of Butler, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Born September 6, 1925 in Lyndora, he was a son of the late Michael and Helyn Domaradzki Spryn.

He was self employed as owner/operator of Kwik Kafe in Butler for 50 years.

He was a member of St. Michael Greek Catholic Church, also the Butler Moose Lodge and had loved Notre Dame Football.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the United States Army.

Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Barbara Rose Lohmuller Spryn.

His children: Nicki Spryn of Butler; Barbara Spryn of Marietta, GA; Gregory (Lucinda) Spryn of Williamsburg, VA; Charles (Jennifer) Spryn of Butler; Rachael Spryn of Butler and Kathryn (Joel) Smiglewski of Butler.

6 grandchildren.

1 sister, Anne Janusz of Seattle, WA.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Michael, Peter and John Spryn.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Michael Greek Catholic Church, 610 Hansen Avenue in Lyndora. The Rev. Douglas Lorance, Pastor, will officiate. Internment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Butler.

Parastas Services will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department, 102 Mahood Road, Butler, PA 16001.
