Alicia C. Sherlock, 54, of Butler, passed away Thursday evening, July 18, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Born September 1, 1964 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Dorothy (Myrter) McKelvey and the late Albert McKelvey.
She graduated from High School and received an Associates Degree from the Community College of Allegheny County. She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Butler and had previously taught Sunday School at St. Catherine Roman Catholic Church in Wildwood. She loved to sing in her church folk group and to bring Joy to others and enjoyed watching auto racing.
Surviving is her husband, Matthew J. Sherlock, Jr., whom she married April 9, 1988.
2 sons: Andrew J. Sherlock of Butler and Matthew J. Sherlock, III, of Beaver Falls.
Her mother, Dorothy McKelvey of Gibsonia.
3 siblings: Ronald C. (Bonnie) McKelvey of Glade Mills; Albert C. McKelvey of Gibsonia; Christian L. (Michelle) McKelvey of Gibsonia.
3 nieces: Mandy, Alison and Jena.
3 nephews: Ross, Michael and Jake.
Her mother-in-law, Geraldine Sherlock of Allison Park.
Her sister-in-law, Cynthia (Jim) Barrow of Valencia.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bridget; also her father-in-law, Matthew J. Sherlock, Sr.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 east Cunningham Street, Butler, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Avenue, Butler. Everyone is asked to please meet at the Church.
