Diane Dancik Obituary

Diane M. Dancik, 68, of Butler, died Sunday morning, October 7, 2018, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born June 17, 1950 in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth O. Broerman and Joan M. (Brunner) Broerman.

Diane graduated from High School, also Butler County Community College, was a nurse of hope at BC3 and had worked as a Critical Care Nurse at the Butler Memorial Hospital, retiring after 28 years. She was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler, where she was also a commentator. She was a member of the Garden Club, the G.F.W.C., the Soroptimist International of Butler County, where she founded “A place to lay my head”.

Surviving is her husband, Dennis P. Dancik, whom she married September 16, 1972.

1 son, Brian (Rebecca) Dancik of Butler.

6 grandchildren: Evan, Madeline, Nicholas, Kira, Hailey and Marcus.

1 sister, Donna (Joseph) Campbell of Butler.

A daughter-in-law, Chantee Dancik of Germantown, MD.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Dancik, who died in 2014; 2 brothers, K. Daniel and Denis A. Broerman.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 North Main Street Ext. in Butler. The Rev. Nick Argentieri, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.

In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to “A place to lay my head” of Soroptimist International of Butler County, PO Box 1882, Butler, PA 16003.
