Donald F. Reott, 81, of Butler, died Saturday morning, October 20, 2018, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born August 18, 1937 in Butler, he was a son of the late Joseph Reott and Adele (Dittmer) Reott.
Don was retired from the Armco Steel Plant in Butler. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, the East Butler Firehall, the Herman Firehall, the R.C. Men’s Club and the American Legion. He enjoyed farming and square dancing. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and recently great grandfather.
He leaves behind to guide his children his faithful, loving wife, Kay (Smith) Reott, whom he married September 12, 1959 after being high school sweethearts.
He was forever surrounded by his 9 children: Dean Reott, Darla (Rodger) Davis, Daniel Reott, Doris (Ronald) Davis, Duane (Patty) Reott, Daryl Reott, all of Butler; Debbie Young of Chicora, Doug (Debbie) Reott and Denise Robinson, of Butler.
He especially enjoyed spoiling his 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are 4 sisters: Bebe Reott and Dian Rodgers of Butler, Gloria Thompson of Erie, Julie Donaldson of Butler and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Robert, Dick, Hiny and Dale; also 2 sisters, Sue and Dolores and a grandson, Kolton Young.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
