Harold S. Kramer

Harold S. Kramer, 95 of Fenelton passed away peacefully on Sunday, September10. He left this world in the same place that the entered it, the Kramer Family Farm homestead.

Born on April 11,1922, he was the son of Edward and Mary (Shuler) Kramer.

As a successful life-long dairy farmer, he was always eager to try the latest farming innovations. His true passion was farming which blended well with his strong work ethic. He bought the family farm in 1955 and implemented the transition from farming with real horsepower to mechanical horsepower {of the four wheeled variety), and moving from milking by hand to using milking machines. He farmed over 150 acres throughout his lifetime, He was easily recognized on his David Brown, Diesel, Zetor, his prized 4WD Ford, and many other tractors. Even as he aged, he continued to be the family's resource for agricultural and mechanical issues.

He was an active member of the PA Farm Bureau and St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Parish in Coylesville.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory 3 daughters, Linda Kramer, Marjory (Don) Reed, and Donna (Larry) Montgomery, 3 sons, Thomas, Michael (Raye), and Charles; 17 beloved grandchildren, Jeff, Joe, Jenny, and Justin Montgomery; Mandy, Steve, Priscilla, Janelle, and Ray Reed; Mike, Leslie, Heidi, and Tim Kramer; Dave, Melinda, Ary, and Tina Kramer; in addition to 12 precious great-grand children. He is also survived by one sister, Mildred Reott.

He was preceded in death by one sister, 6 brothers, and 1 daughter-in-law.

There will not be a public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 10:00 a.m., at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville. The Rev. Matt McClain, Pastor, will officiate. Internment will follow in St. John's Parish Cemetery. Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, Butler.
