John Baranchak

John Baranchak, 77, of Butler passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 4, 1940, he was a son of the late John E. Baranchak and Ruth Pelton Baranchak.

He was a 1958 graduate of Philipsburg High School in Philipsburg, PA.

He was an Electrician for I.B.E.W Local # 932. He was a longtime owner of J'S Bar in Lyndora, retiring in 2005.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, French/Belgium Club, a lifetime member of the Slovak Club and the Italian Club.

Surviving is his wife, Dolores Rusnak Baranchak whom he married May 16, 1964.

2 sons: John M. (Angela) Baranchak of Butler and David B. (Staci) Baranchak of Raleigh, NC.

A daughter, Beth A. (Peter) Cordova of Boca Raton, FL.

Grandchildren: Matthew and Luke Baranchak, Dyllan and Macey Baranchak, Zac and Kaleina Cordova.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001 from 5-8 pm Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean St. Butler, PA. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
