John W. Dampf

John W. Dampf, Jr., 76, of Butler passed away Wednesday August 30, 2017 at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 21, 1941 in Strabane, PA, he was the son of the late John W. Dampf, Sr., and Margaret Lombardi Dampf.

He worked for Spang and Company in Butler for 25 years. He then worked as a Computer Systems Analyst from where he retired in 2000 following 15 years service.

He was a member of Middlesex Presbyterian Church.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was a member of the NRA.

Surviving is his wife, Mary Lou Klages Dampf, whom he married July 27, 1963.

2 daughters: Julie (Philip) Nini of Butler and Kimberly (Jefferey) Long of North Huntington.

2 grandchildren: Bryce and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday from the Funeral Home. Rev. Kevin M. Bowen, Pastor, Middlesex Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will take place at Butler County Memorial Park.
