Joseph D. Pell, Jr., 74, of Butler, passed away, Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the Butler VA Medical Center, following a long battle with cancer.
Born June 8, 1943 in Butler, he was a son of the late Joseph D. Pell and Sophia (Bolibruck) Pell.
Joe was retired from the International Staple and Machine Company, following 40 years.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler and had enjoyed golfing with his friends for over 20 years.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his sister, Sandy (Bob) Steighner of Butler.
Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Norma McQueeney and Diana Pelle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Avenue in Butler. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz, Pastor, will officiate. Military Honors will follow the Mass at the Church, provided by the American Legion/V.F.W. Honor Guard. Inurnment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, Butler.
