Marylou Wilson, lately of Newhaven Court in Butler, and formerly of North Trail in Penn Township, died after a short illness on January 30.
Born in Falls Creek, PA on December 24, 1926, Marylou was married to Dr. William E. Wilson who predeceased her in 2011.
Marylou is survived by her loving children Rebecca (Neal) Sumner, Jenny Ruth (Gary Matthew) Kerns, William J. (Karen) Wilson and her honorary daughter, Susan Scott who were with her during her final illness.
Marylou, a graduate of Brookville High School in Brookville, PA. attended the University of Pittsburgh on a Latin scholarship just before marrying. She taught dance at Arthur Murray's and had a lifelong passion for jazz music; playing the piano daily.
Marylou was an avid reader until the end, loved flowers, gardening, crossword puzzles and practicing Tai Chi.
She was a life master in bridge, Marylou's greatest love was for her family and she remained friends with her children's friends. She had a special love for dogs and was seeking to pet the family's “four footers”, even as her health failed her on her last day. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
There will be no visitation. The family and their friends will hold a private memorial. Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001.
