Paul W. Pietroski, 97, of Lyndora, died Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the V.N.A. Inpatient Hospice.
Born June 19, 1921 in Lyndora, he was a son of the late Walter Pietroski and Vera (Krulicki) Pietroski.
Paul worked as an inspector for the Armco Steel Plant in Butler, retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora, was a life member of the American Legion Post #778 in Lyndora, enjoyed traveling in his younger years and had loved to garden and grow flowers.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Army.
Surviving is his brother, Richard (Rita) Pietroski of Harleysville, PA.
1 sister, Teresa Pietroski of Arlington, VA.
3 nieces: Joan, Nancy and Susan.
1 nephew, Richard.
1 great niece, Danielle.
2 great nephews: Jesse and Patrick.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
The Bereavement Committee of St. Fidelis Parish will meet 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home for a Parish Prayer Service.
Military Honors will held on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home, provided by the American Legion/V.F.W. Honor Guard.
