Richard James “Jim” Bertocki, 66, of Butler passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 6, 1951 in Butler, he was a son of the late Richard and Betty Prost Bertocki.

He was a 1970 graduate of Butler High School. He worked for Pullman Standard Car Company until it's closing. He then retired in 2011 from the Butler Area School District, where he worked as a Custodian.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

Surviving are 3 sisters: Diana (Paul) Hinchberger, Carol (Doug) Monnie and Patricia Bertocchi, all of Butler.

1 aunt, Dolores Malcolm of OH.

4 nephews: Paul, Joshua, Michael Hinchberger and Douglas Monnie.

1 niece, Krista (Cody) Geagan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA from 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am from St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean St. Butler. Rev. Harry Bielewicz, Pastor, to officiate. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Butler.

St. Paul's Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:30 am Wednesday at the church to recite the Rosary.
