Rose Marie Prementine Savage, 85, of Butler, passed away gently Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, surrounded by her family.
Born April 20, 1933 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late John Prementine and Veronica (Warhoski) Prementine.
Rose was a devoted mother, loving Bubba, was a dear friend to many and was an avid bingo player. She dedicated her life to the Highfield Community Center, catering for 45 years.
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora.
Her daughter-in-law Cindy had been her companion and caregiver, which enabled her stay in her home for the past 4 years.
She is survived by her 5 children: David A. (Cindy) Savage of Butler; Vernon J. (Tami) Savage of Ohio and Florida; Linda (Keith) Kristoff of Butler; Michael J. (Cathy) Savage of Canonsburg, PA; Keith G. (Allison) Savage of Williamsport, PA.
10 grandchildren: Her special grandson BJ Savage, Kyle Savage, Taylor Savage, Nicholas Kristoff, Alexandria Savage, Victoria Savage, Luke Savage, Grace Savage, Jozef Savage and Irina Savage.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore S. Savage, whom she married November 28, 1953, he died January 29, 2009; also 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, and from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. A Blessing Service will follow at 10:00 a.m., at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
