Rose "Vivian" Snyder

Rose “Vivian” Snyder, 87, of Butler passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh.

Born July 8, 1930 in Meridian, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Slater and Edna Reith Slater.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing the organ, gardening, vacationing and her dog, “Cassie”

She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.

Surviving are 2 sons: Robert J. Snyder, Jr. and his friend Kathleen C. Sommers., and Brian F. Snyder, all of Butler.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Snyder. Sr. who passed away March 23, 1984 and a brother, George M. “Red” Slater.

There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday, August 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM from St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Rd. Butler, PA 16001. Rev. William Wuenschel, Pastor, to officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Burial Estates in Mt. Chestnut. Arrangements by Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001.
