Rosemarie "Honey' Walsh

Rosemarie (Honey) Walsh of Granger, Indiana, formerly of Butler passed away Friday, June 15th at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Honey graduated from Butler High School with the Class of 1966. She married her high school sweetheart, Tom, and they spent 47 years together before his death in 2016.

While living in Butler she was employed at Butler Memorial Hospital, Sears, and Perkins Restaurant. Honey’s favorite job was working at Bit O’ Swiss Bakery in Granger. She always had a smile on her face and developed friendships with her customers and coworkers.

She was a member of St. Pius Roman Catholic Church in Granger, Indiana and a former member of St. Paul’s Church in Butler.

Honey was a loving, caring person who always put family first. She enjoyed doing crafts and creative writing. She also volunteered as an usher at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center at Notre Dame, Indiana.

She is survived by her mother, Mary, her two sons, Timothy and Daniel, her grandson, Austin, her two sisters Chris (Kim) Rensel and Martha (Robert) Cawthon and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband and father.

Visitation for Rosemarie Walsh will be Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday June 21st at St. Paul’s Church, 128 North McKean Street, Butler. Interment to follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
