Wallace Allen Obituary

Wallace R. Allen, 81, of Butler, died Saturday evening, April 14, 2018, at his home.

Born May 13, 1936 in Butler, he was a son of the late Chester W. Allen and Katherine “Kate” (Kriebel) Allen.

He was retired from Silicon Maintenance at the Armco Steel Plant in Butler. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and bowling in the Armco bowling league.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving is his wife, Norma J. (Valensky) Allen.

5 children: Wallace (Brenda) Allen, Jr., Kenneth Allen and Todd Allen, all of Butler; Janeen Smith of Leechburg; Melissa (Tim) Chase of Erie.

5 Grandchildren: Amanda (Lou) Saulle of Boston, Mass; Andrew Allen of Coraopolis; Jessica Smith of New York; Ethan Chase and Lydia Chase, both of Erie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Samantha Smith; also 2 brothers and 1 sister.
