Alice M. Fontaine

Alice M. Fontaine' 87, of Butler, Pa. passed away November 15, 2023.

She was born March 23, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Anna Hockenberry Young of Chicora, Pa,

She was Catholic, she worked at Sunnyview in nursing for 18 and a half years before retiring in 1997.

Alice always made sure to take time to handwrite personal Holiday cards, Thank you cards, and notes for all occasions to her family and friends. Her hobbies were working in her yard, growing beautiful flowers, and shrubs. Alice enjoyed all the birds that came to her yard, her favorite was the hummingbirds. She and her husband together, enjoyed camping, cook-outs, fishing, and being with other campers.

Her children, grandchildren, family, and close friends were very important to her.

She is survived by 2 sons: Paul D Moore- Butler, Pa, and Ed Moore - Alexandria, Virginia. 1 daughter: Mary E Moore-Cousins Beaver Falls, Pa. 3 Grandsons: Alex, Josh and Nick, 3 Granddaughters: Kasey, Hailey, and Julie, 3 brothers: James Thomas & Roger 1 sister Helen Raabe – Butler., also a great number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Fontaine Jr. 1 son: James Joseph Moore “Jimmy Joe”. 1 Brother: Ed Young. 6 sisters: Gertrude Landgraf, Louise Odonnell, Ruth Kelly, Caroline Delair, Rose Miller, and Jenny Blaha, and 1 Grandson, JJ Moore.

Family and friends will received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA., from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home. Eugene Yeo, Military Chaplain to officiate.  Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
