Augustine Mae (Maddalena) Shuler, 88, of Slippery Rock passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.
Born May 7, 1932 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Giovannina “Jenny” (Pasqualichio) Maddalena.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Michael, St. Paul and lastly, St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.
She was a member of the CD of A and the ladies auxiliary of the Butler Post office. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafting. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Surviving are her children, Christine (Scott) Schiebel of Tampa, FL, Harry Shuler III of Hanover, PA, Michael (Susan) Shuler, Sr. of Slippery Rock and Gregory (Alison) Shuler of Camp Hill,
7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Sister, Norma Wimer.
Sister-in-law, Jane Beck.
Numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Shuler, Jr. who passed away December 28, 2020, They were married February 14, 1953. A son, Peter Shuler. Her grandson, Paul Jenkins. Four sisters, Lucille Glenn and Rose Caputo, Marie Snyder and an infant sister, Maddalena.
A graveside service will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Butler at 1:00 pm Thursday. Arrangements completed by Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001.
