Blanche Mae Ietto, 94, of 111 Ietto Drive died late Sunday, February 21 at her home surrounded by family.
Born April 19, 1926 in Apollo, PA, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Jane Puntureri Ietto.
Boondie, as she was known to her family, worked at the Thorofare in Bon Aire and then her family’s Foodland in Wexford, PA.
She was a devoted sister and aunt and cherished her family. She loved gardening and was known for her beautiful, colorful flowers. She was an avid photographer. Boondie’s photos and home movies are the foundation for all of her family’s memories.
Blanche was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
Surviving are her brother, Samuel Ietto of Butler; two sisters, Virginia (Phil) Ball of Youngwood, PA and Joy (Roy) Rader of Butler; sister-in-law Carol (Mickey) Ietto; and ten nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Frances Cypher, Pauline Fontaine, and Annabelle Blazewick and brother Mickey Ietto. Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001 from at 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday at 1:00 pm at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St. Butler PA. Interment will be at St. Peter Cemetery.
