Cherilayne Miller

Cherilayne “Cookie” Miller, 69, of Butler passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at her residence.

Born October 2, 1952 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Jenkins) Rodgers.

Cookie retired from St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic School, following over 20 years of service. She was the school Secretary.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic  Church. She was a member of St. Mary Christian and Mothers Guild.

Surviving is her husband, Thomas Miller, they were married in August 1978.

Her daughter, Regan (Shawn) Spath of OH and her son, Marcus (Rebekah) Miller of Pittsburgh.

Four grandchildren: Dimitrius, Evelyn, Saoirse and Teague.

Her sisters, Kathy (Randy) Hamilton of FL., and Gloria Rodgers of Butler.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 9:30 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler, PA 16001. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
