Daniel F. Joseph, Jr.

Daniel F. Joseph Jr., 84, of Slippery Rock, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2022 at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.

Born February 25, 1938, in Butler, he was the son of the late Daniel and Clara Moore Joseph, Sr.

He was baptized at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora.

He was a 1956 graduate of Butler High School, and later, a graduate of Robert Morris University. His schooling and degree lead him to a career as a Licensed Tax Preparer and Certified Public Accountant.

He served as a United States Marine from 1956-1960 in Radio Communications.

As a teen, he enjoyed roller skating at the Castle Roller Rink and was a lifetime fan of the Steelers and Pirates. In his later years, he enjoyed writing poetry and listening to Doo Wop music. Family and friends continue to enjoy board and dice games he created.

He is survived by his former wife, Carol Kennedy Hornyack, (whom he was married to from 1956-1970), their daughters Kathie A. Joseph of Gresham, Oregon, Kelly L. Edmunson (David) of Gresham, Oregon, and Karen S. McClintock (Ron) of Beavercreek, Oregon;  4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother George Joseph (Laura) of Le Claire, Iowa, 2 nieces, 3 great-nieces, in addition to a number of cousins.

He also shared a part of his life with former wives, Carol Parsons and Hasmik, and step-children Rick, Victoria, Andrea, Dana, Edward and Ida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and former wife, Carol Parsons.

Funeral Services are being completed by Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St., Butler, PA 16001 and will be held at a later date.
