David C. Dufford, 68, of Butler passed away peacefully in the home he loved on June 29, 2021.
Dave was born to Russell and Sarah Dufford on April 6, 1953 in Butler. He married Cindy, the love of his life, in 1974, who survives him. He is also survived by his children, Shiloh (Shane) Harris, Jake (Amber) Dufford, his 3 beloved grandchildren, Matt, Taryn and Russ and his much loved pups, Darby and Pixie. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Aline (Norman) Gordon, Beatrice “Teen” Dufford and Beryl (Lloyd) Miller.
Dave was known for being a hilarious human being and he loved with all he had. He was an avid hunter and loved being out in nature more than anything but being with his family. A prolific reader he also a wonderful storyteller who spent many hours writing those stories down and even had multiple short stories published in various magazines, including PA Game News, Woods Reader and Fur, Fish and Game. He will be remembered with love and affection by all who knew him, even if they never met.

A celebration of life will be planned for Dave in the coming months. Anyone wanting to honor Dave may make a donation to the nature conservancy or literary charity of their choice.
