Evangeline M. Fonseca, 97, of Butler passed away Thursday July 22, 2021 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born December 27, 1923 in #5 Mine, Springfield Twp. Mercer Co., She was a daughter of the late Maurice and Emma (Naddeo) Moretti.
She had previously worked for the Cooper Bessemer Railroad as an Executive Secretary for the Purchasing Agent.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Women and Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Butler High School Football Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, readings and gardening. She cherished sporting activities with her grandchildren. She was a loyal supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Surviving is her daughter, Terri (Richard) Albert of Butler and her son, Arnold (Laura) Fonseca of Murrysville, PA.
Six grandchildren: Angelique Fonseca, Nikalette Fonseca and her fiance', Ryan Mulraney and Gionna Fonseca. Jonathan (Leah) Albert, Audra and Christopher Albert.
Numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold V. Fonseca who passed away January 17, 2009, they were married November 19, 1953. Three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean St. Butler, PA 16001. Entombment will also be held privately. Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler.
