Gary J. Bauer, 63, of Butler, passed away, Monday morning, April 18, 2022, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 25, 1958 in Butler, he was a son of the late Chester L. “Dutch” Bauer and Wilma (Kuhn) Bauer. He had lived in Kentucky for 20 years, before returning to Butler in 2021.
Gary had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Swank Construction. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. He enjoyed playing pool, throwing darts and spending time with his friends at several of the social clubs he belonged to in the Butler area.
Surviving is his daughter, Melissa (Timothy) Biedenbach of Butler.
His son, Jake (Melinda) Bauer of Butler.
3 grandchildren: Levi Biedenbach, Haley Biedenbach and Brady Bauer.
His siblings: Louis Bauer and Ken Druse of Newton, NJ; Marie (Jim) Baronetski of West Sunbury; Linda (Rick) Mazzanti, Ray Bauer, Barbara (Bill) Holt, Les (Betsy) Bauer, Howard (Leann) Bauer, all of Butler; Ruth (Lee) Jamison of Moneta, VA; Walt Bauer and Susan Druschel of Harmony; Dave (Michelle) Bauer of Emlenton; Chuck (Sarah) Bauer of Chicora.
Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Shindigs/Bauer Excavating, 705 Herman Road, Butler, PA 16002. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11:00 am, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. The Rev. Matt McClain, Pastor to officiate. Everyone please meet at the Church Thursday morning.
