Genevieve A. Natali of Butler, PA, died on January 18, at the age of 103.
Born June 16, 1919, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Nellie Mendus of Butler.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Cynthia Potter (Dr. Robert), and grandchildren Brandon, Julie, and Randy Potter as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of All Saints Parish in Butler.
She was devout in her Catholic faith and attended many Knights of Columbus activities with her husband through the years. She greatly enjoyed working outdoors, taking care of her yard and flowers at the house that she and her husband built following World War II. She lived in this house until she was 100 when she moved the Haven at North Hills, a personal care facility. In these later years, bingo and visiting with friends were her favorite activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Natali, to whom she was married for 49 years, and all of her brothers and sisters, Ralph Mendus, Blanche Kurnal, Alfred Mendus, Walter Mendus, and Lucille Druga.
The family would like to thank the terrific staff at the Haven of North Hills for their care in recent years and the staff of AHN Hospice in recent days.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA 16001 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean St. Butler, PA 16001. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
