Margaret W. “Peggy” Harper, 87, of Butler passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born February 10, 1938 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret (Deprist) Witt.
She was a former telephone operator for Bell Telephone of Pittsburgh, PA. for 6 years. She then worked in food service for Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, she retired in 1995 following 16 years of service.
Surviving is her three children: Robert J. Harper of Freedom, Cynthia (Tim) Schrecengost of Chicora, Donald J. Harper of Butler. Grandson, Timothy Schrecengost, Jr., also three grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and her niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Harper, Jr. who passed away August 10, 2020, they were married January 1, 1961. Her daughter, Margaret “Peg" S. Harper, her sister, Nancy Egerman and her niece.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA. From 2:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday with a service to follow at 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Private entombment will be at Pinewood Memorial Park.
