Marjorie Louise Jacox

Marjorie Louise Jacox, 86, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Butler, passed away Sunday August 20, 2023.

She was born in Butler, October 10, 1936, a daughter of the late Eugene Gallagher and Gertrude (Brandt) Gallagher.

Marjorie was a member of All Saints Paris, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, St. Paul’s Christian Mothers, also the Christian Mothers of St. Mary’s Church in Herman and the Yarn Spinners.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn L. (Sean) Engel of Mt. Lebanon and Patti (Neil) Kinser of Las Vegas.

4 grandchildren:  Sophie Anna Engel and Elena Marie Engel, both of Mt. Lebanon.

                             Karissa Kinser and Branden Kinser, both of Las Vegas.

2 brothers, Fr. Cyrus Gallagher, OFM Cap. Of Colorado Springs, CO. and Joseph Gallagher of Tucson, AZ.

2 sisters, Ruth Sanders and Carol White, both of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Albert M. Jacox, Jr., also her son, Stephen A. Jacox.

Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, at 2:00 pm at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean Street, Butler.  Her brother, Fr. Cyrus Gallagher, OFM Cap. to officiate.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery, Herman.
