Mary L. Werner

Mary L. Werner, 89, of Butler passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at her residence while surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 10. 1934 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Teresa (Granata) Russo.

Mary worked as a receptionist for Dr. Han, she retired in 2006 following 24 years of service.

She was a member of the Penn Township Women’s Club for many years. She was also a member of the Penn Valley Athletic Club, where she enjoyed many summers with her family. Mary was an avid quilter and she was of the Roman Catholic Faith.

Surviving are sons and daughters, Randal (Anne) Werner, Cheryl (Jeffrey) Werner Hall, both of Butler, Dr. Christopher (Belinda) Werner of Chalfont, PA, Cathleen (Brian) Werner Ferne and Loren (Ronald) Werner Hartman, both of Butler.

Mary’s eight loving grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph G. Werner who passed away May 19, 2020, they were married September 6, 1954. Her daughter, Lynn Werner Kiermaier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 10:00 am. Arrangements under the direction of Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler, PA. 16001.

Memorial donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Rd, Renfrew, PA 16053.
