Maxine H. Schriner Morgan Gurner of Penn Township died August 15, 2021.
Born October 5, 1941, in Butler. She was the daughter of Charles E. "Bud" Schriner and Vivian Miles Schriner.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Gurner graduated from Butler High School and Attended the University of Cincinnati's College of Conservatory of Music.
She worked for the Allied Stores Corp. as a fashion buyer for the Butler and New Castle Stores, also as a Coordinator for the Wendy Ward Program, an affiliate of Montgomery Ward.
In the community, Mrs. Gurner was a Life Member of the Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, former member of the Butler County Symphony, former member and past President of Soroptimist International of Butler County, member of the generalgifts committee of Easter Seals.
Surviving are her husband Michael J. Gurner of Butler. Two step daughters Mrs. Nanette (Brian) Rau and Mrs. Nena (Daniel) Cuffin. Five grandchildren, two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Son, Steven P. Morgan and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 10:00 am, at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Avenue, Butler.
