Nancy Lee Keegan, 87 of Butler, passed away December 27, 2020. She was born in West Newton, PA on September 3, 1933 and was the only daughter of the late William and Mary Sampson. She lived in the Pennsylvania communities of West Newton, Monaca, Beaver Falls, and Indiana Township before finally residing in Butler. She was a member of the St Andrew Church in Butler, where she volunteered her services. While managing a house and caring for her children, Nancy was an Avon sales representative and Sasco franchise owner. She also volunteered at Meals on Wheels and numerous school functions. She was a girl scout leader and served as an advisor for the Parent Teacher Guild at St. Philomena.
Nancy married her first and only love, the late Terence Jerome Keegan on November 20, 1954 at the Holy Family Church in West Newton, PA. Surviving are her five children (and spouses), Marian S. Keegan, of Greeley, PA, Terence M. (Donna) Keegan, of Hebron, OH, Kevin M. (Debbie) Keegan, of Chesnee, SC, Kathleen A. (Michael) Gallagher, of Butler, PA, and Robert F. (Judy) Keegan, of Chuluota, FL.; eight grandchildren, Terence P. Keegan, Ryan M. Keegan, Caitlin D. Keegan, Sean M. Gallagher, Shannon K. Gallagher, Kiley E. Keegan, Kerry S. Keegan and Catherine G. Keegan; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her brother William Sampson, Jr.
In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, there will not be a visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00 am, at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. John Baver, will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the Mausoleum of Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
