Robert “Bob” Prindeville Gealey, 77, of Butler passed away on June 28, 2023, following a brief illness. Born March 26, 1946, he was the son of William Renwick and Miriam Sarles Gealey. Robert graduated from Butler Senior High School in the Class of 1963 and obtained his B.A. degree in Business from Rutgers University. While residing in New Jersey, he worked for Singer Company followed by Lockheed Martin. Eventually, he returned to Butler, where he embarked on a successful career in the construction industry specializing in stadium seating. For over three decades, Robert dedicated himself as a specialist, meticulously designing and engineering spectator seating across the tri-state area until retiring 20 years ago.
Aside from his professional achievements, Robert had a deep passion for golfing and found immense joy in gardening, cooking and baking. He cherished spending countless hours with his nine grandchildren and became renowned for his mouthwatering homemade pies.
Robert is preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Comin (affectionately known as Peggy), his parents William and Mariam Gealey, as well as his daughter, Kelly DaSilva. He leaves behind his loving wife, Sheila of Butler, along with two daughters, Margaret Young (Todd) and Deanna Khemani (Kishore), and two sons, William Gealey (Andraya) and Jason Burris (Crystal). Additionally, he is survived by his two brothers, Thomas Gealey of Delaware (Marjorie), Ryan Gealey of Butler, and a sister Virginia Russo, who resides in Arizona.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home 201 East Cunningham St. from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 Saturday at the Funeral Home.
