Rose McCall Obituary

Rose E. McCall, 87, of Butler, passed away, December 31, 2020, at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born January 21, 1933 in Butler, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Monroe) Smith.

She was a 1950 graduate of Butler High School and had worked at Butler Savings and Trust, was a book keeper for Cletus Etzel and at First Seneca Bank.

Rose married Earl F. Smith on January 24, 1953 at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Together they had four children. After Earl's passing she married Albert L. McCall, he passed May 20, 1991.

Rose was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler. She loved reading and watching the backyard birds and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed travel, playing cards and bowling.

Rose is survived by her children, Deborah (Shawn) Kriebel, Douglas (Donna) Smith, Lori (Tim) Sims and Philip (Nancy) Smith.

2 grandchildren: Andrew (Gina) Smith and Meredith (James) Lindsay.

3 great grandchildren: Alaina Maria Smith, Lennon James Lindsay and Isabelle Rose Lindsay.

1 sister, Agnes Widenhofer.

4 brothers: William, John, Rick and Tom Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, a brother Jim Smith and 3 sisters, Mary Catherine Yamnitsky, Gertrude Moore and Helen Carter.

Her family wishes to thank the staff at Sunnyview.

There will not be a public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 12:00 noon, at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Nicholas Argentieri, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery, Herman. Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler.
