Ruth M. Leopold

Ruth M. Leopold, 97, of Butler, passed away at Shelbourne Personal Care Home on November 18, 2023. 

Born in 1926 in Tarentum she was the daughter of the late Anna Catcher and William James Heller.

She was a former Executive Secretary at Armco, and homemaker. She was a member of Nixon United Methodist Church of Penn Twp. and later attended Cabot United Methodist Church.

 For many years, she volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program.  She was happily married for 38 years to her husband Vaughn E. Leopold who passed away in 1992.

 Her three sisters, Patty, Jeanne and Dorothy, as well as, two brothers, William and Thomas, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Pamela, Wendy, David, Mary Beth, Stepdaughter; Sandy, Niece, Lori.   Granddaughters, Brittany, Amanda, Great Grandchildren; Miles, Adelynn, Hayden, Finley and Barrett.

 Her ashes are to be interred at Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora Pa. Services will be private.
