Thomas P. Angert, 55, of Renfrew, passed away, Tuesday afternoon, January 18, 2022, at the Sunnyview Home.
Born March 6, 1966 in Butler, he was a son of Linda L. (Geibel) Angert and the late Thomas C. Angert.
Tom had worked as a chemist for more than 30 years for BASF, now known as Ascensus. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, he had been part of the Hazmat team, also serving as captain of the Butler County Hazmat team #100, had been secretary of the LEPC and held office at the East Butler Volunteer Fire Company, where his highest rank was assistant Fire Chief. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fantasy baseball, spending time with his grandsons and also time with his beloved golden doodle Daisy.
Surviving is his wife, Marci L. (Geibel) Angert, whom he married December 1, 2017.
2 step children, Aaron R. Cumberland and Jennifer (Marc) Howard.
2 grandsons, Logan and Levi.
His mother, Linda Angert.
His sisters and brothers: Cathy Oesterling, Dan (Denise) Angert, Michelle (Eric) Hesidenz and Mark (Kelly) Angert.
Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas C. Angert.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00 am, at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
