William P. “Bill” Carlin, Jr., 69, of Butler, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 19, 1953 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William P. Carlin and Ethel C. (Cronin) Carlin.
Bill was a veteran serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post #778 in Lyndora.
“Forgotten is a word that doesn’t apply to Pap. His life brought a tremendous amount of joy and laughter. When Pap laughed we all laughed. His love was always felt. It was never questioned. It gave the true meaning of unconditional, undeniable love. He will always be with us and we will always be with him.

He is survived by his son, Jason (Virginia) Carlin.
1 daughter, Tami Carlin.
2 grandchildren: Amber Carlin and Michael (Whitney) Carlin, along with their child Keely.
2 sisters, Donna Corfield and Lorraine Grantz.
1 brother, Ronald Carlin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Carlin.
Inurnment with full military honors will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 10:30 am.
